As a Chinese immigrant impacted by the Cultural Revolution and Postmodern Era, I am driven by my identity to explore various themes through ceramic forms. I seek to acquire the traditional knowledge and techniques that connect me to my past, and utilize my existing expertise to create work that explores the new world we have built through the destruction of the old.

I am also a very lucky husband and proud father to the most precious little girl, and they inspire me to have the courage to break past barriers which have held me back. After 10 years of working in the film and television industry as a Visual Effect Technical Director, I seek to combine my experience with my Fine Arts practice to do meaning work in my community.
